Rex Allen
Rex Allen was born in Willcox, Arizona in 1920. He was the last of the "Singing
Cowboys." He made over a hundred "B" Westerns up until about 1954.
He also had a successful career as a country artist and narrated hundreds of Walt
Disney films. Rex Allen passed away in Tucson in 1999.
Steve Allen
Steve Allen spent a year here as a radio disc jockey before his career as a comedian
took off. He also was "a composer, singer, producer, conductor, a songwriter
of more than 4,000 songs, and the author of over 38 books." This link covers

Erma Bombeck, the beloved writer and humorist, died in 1996. She
and her husband made their home in Paradise Valley, Arizona.

Sam Moore, of the duo Sam and Dave, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Rall of
Fame in 1992. You might know them best for the song "I'm a Soul Man"
that was later also performed by the Blues Brothers. Sam lives in the Phoenix
area.

Buck and his family migrated west from Texas during the depression
