| The largest of the these Northeast
Valley cities, Fountain Hills, is both an upscale residential
community and an elegant golf destination. Fountain Hills is
named for the fountain that shoots water 560 feet into the air
for 15 minutes on the hour for 12 hours a day. The highest in
the world, according to Guinness, the water goes higher than
the Great Pyramid of Cheops. The adjacent park is often used
for festivals, including February's Great Fair, a hot air balloon
festival and arts show. "May Day at the Fountain" Jazz Festival
attendees hear top jazz performers such as George Benson. Local
resorts include Copperwynd Resort and Club, with its European-style
spa and superb tennis facilities. The adjacent SunRidge Canyon
Golf Club is rated 42nd in the country by Golf Magazine. The
Southwest Inn at Eagle Mountain provides panoramic views and
